Online Application availability: From 05-03-2013 to 04-04-2013
Age limit: 21 years to 30 years
Education Qualification:
Candidates must have graduation (degree) from any recognized university or equable professional or technical graduation recognized by Government.
The general candidates should allow four attempts only, relaxble attempts for SC/ST and other 7 Backward castes.
UPSC(Union Public Service commission) has notification released for the recruitment of different Services in civil service, for the recruitment of 1000+ posts approximately .
UPSC has been changed the pattern of civil Services main exam from the current year 2013. The changes are likely to choice of language medium, UPSC using the particular language medium for qualifying the graduate level examination, then he/she may opt for that particular language medium to answer all the question papers, except Section 2 of the Paper-1
Examination pattern:
According to the New pattern the marks has been set for total 7 papers 2075 marks including 275 interview marks apart from total 2300 marks (300 interview marks)

Paper-1
Section A- essay writing 200 marks
Section B- English comprehension and general English 100 marks (based on 10th standerd)
Paper-2
General studies-1 250 marks (Indian heritage and culture, History and Geography of the World )
Paper-3
General studies-2 250 marks (Governance, constitution, polity,social justice and international relations)
Paper-4
General Studies-3 250 marks(Technology,bio-diversity, economic development,Environment, security and Disaster management)
Paper-5
General studies-4 250 marks (ethics, integrity and aptitude)
Paper-6
Optional Subject-Paper-1 for 250 marks
Paper-7
Optional Subject-Paper-2 for 250 marks
Marks for written Test- 1800
Marks for interview --275
Total marks --- 2075
Application Fee: 100/- for eligible General candidates, relaxble for SC/ST/PH from application fee
