RBI cut the interest rate on Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) by 50 points (From 9.50% to 9%). The MRF is 9% now. (MRF is the rate at which banks borrow funds over night from RBI against approved government securities).

RBI, The Central Bank of India on 29^th October hiked Repo Rate by 25 basis points from 7.50% to 7.75% and reduced the MSF by 25 basis points from 9% to 8.75%.

RBI lowered its expected GDP growth of this fiscal year to 5% from 5.5%.
