SSC-CGL Notification 2014:

SSC (Staff Selection Commission) has announced SSC- CGL notification 2014 to fill up Group B and Group C posts in the central government departments. SSC-CGL is the Combined Graduate Level Examination to recruit for 29 different posts of Group B and Group C in the Central Government Organizations. SSC-CGL invites all the eligible candidates to apply for SSC-CGL Examination.

Every year 15000 to 20000 posts are filling up by Staff Selection Commission. SSC-CGL having more vacancies with low competition. These jobs will give more benefits and gives good future also. SSC-CGL examination will be on 27^th April or May 4^th 2014.The last date for applications registration is 14^th Feb 2014.For more details of SSC-CGL notification 2014 visit the official website

Eligibility Criteria to appear for SSC-CGL Examination:

·         The Candidate should have completed any degree from any recognized university.

·         For the details of age limit you can go through the official link of SSC.

Fee Details:

• There is no application fee for Women Candidates and Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically handicapped and for the Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation.
• Application fee is 100/- for men.

Examination Pattern:

This Exam will be conduct in three levels Tier-1, Tier-2 and interview

Tier-1:-This Test consists of 200 questions. Each question carries one mark and total 200 marks.0.25 mark will reduce for wrong answer. Duration of the test is 2 hours

In this test consists of 4 parts

General Intelligence	50 marks
Quantitative Abilities	50 marks
English Comprehension	50 marks
General Studies	50 marks

Tier-2:-This test consists of two papers. Paper-1 consists of 100 questions from Quantitative Abilities and each question carries 2 marks. Total marks are 200 marks. Duration of the test is 2 hours. 0.5 marks will reduce for each wrong answer

 Paper-2 consists of 200 questions from English Comprehension and each question carries 1 mark. Total marks are 200 marks. Duration of the test is 2 hours. 0.25 marks will reduce for each wrong answer.

The Candidates who are applying for Statistical officer and compiler posts, they should attend for paper-3 along with paper-1 and paper-2.Paper-3 consists of 100 questions from Statistics. Each question carries 2 marks. Total marks are 200 marks. Duration of the test is 2 hours. 0.5 marks will reduce for each wrong answer

After the successful completion of Tier-2 means eligible of Tier-2, you should go for one of the following tests. Different departments have different tests.

• Interview will be conduct for all posts of Group B and for the inspector in income tax department posts in Group C.
• And there is no interview round for the remaining posts of Group C.
• Computer Proficiency test will conduct for the Posts of Assistants in Central Secretary Service.
• Typing test will conduct for the posts of Central exchange and assistants posts of income tax department.
• Physical test will conduct for the inspector posts in the departments of central exchange, Examiner, preventive officer, CBI, Central Bureau of Narcotics.
