Karnataka CET 2014 Notification:
The Karnataka Examination
Authority has announced the notification about KCET(Karnataka Common Entrance
Test).KCET is also called as Karnataka CET .This Karnataka CET 2014 is for the
admissions in to under graduate courses Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy,
Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, B.Sc. Agriculture, Sericulture,
Forestry, Horticulture, B-Pharma, D-Pharma etc Courses for the year 2014 –
2015..This Karnataka CET is the entrance test for the admission in to medical
and dental courses in the universities of Karnataka state for the academic year
2014.This Karnataka CET is conducted by KEA(Karnataka Examinations Authority)
in the month of May in the state of Karnataka. Karnataka Examination Authority
has announced the Karnataka CET 2014 examination dates. Karnataka CET 2014
Examination Dates are scheduled to be conducted on two days. i.e. 1st
May 2014 and 2nd May 2014.
Karnataka CET is the common
entrance test, is going to conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority),
Government of Karnataka in the state level for the admission in to medical and
dental courses.KEA invites all the eligible candidates to apply for Karnataka
CET 2014 on or before 5th April 2014.This Karnataka CET 2014 is only
for the candidates of Karnataka state. Other state students can join through
management quota.
Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka CET
2014
Educational Qualification:
The candidates are required to
pass Karnataka 2 PUC/12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics,
Chemistry and Biology as optional subject and English with one of the languages
of study. He/She must have secured 50% marks in aggregate.
Karnataka CET 2014 Application Fee Details:
Candidates of Karnataka Origin
residing outside the state of Karnataka including Horanadu and Gadinadu
Kannadigas and wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants may remit 750/- through
NEFT payable to Account No. 878333780 with NEFT / IFSC Code IDIB000M010 at the
Indian Bank, Malleshwaram Branch, Bangalore and send an e-mail to
Administrative Officer, KEA at keauthority – kaOnic.in in the prescribed format
hosted on the website www.kea.kar.nic.in for obtaining CET 2014 brochure.
How to Apply for Karnataka CET 2014:
Candidates are required to buy
the Karnataka CET 2014 Application form through their schools and colleges of
Karnataka.
Fill the Karnataka CET 2014
Application Form carefully by reading the instructions given on the Karnataka
CET 2014 Application form.
After filling the Application
form neatly without mistakes, place your thumb impression using blue ink in the
appropriate place in the Karnataka CET 2014 application form.
Filled-in Application Form will
have to be e – mailed to Administrative Officer, Karnataka Examinations
Authority @ keauthority – ka ( 5 ) nic.in and the hard copy of the ink signed
Application Form with photograph of the Applicant be sent to the following
address on or before 1st week of April 2014.

Karnataka CET 2014 Exam Pattern:
KCET Exam Pattern 2014 consists
of questions from four subjects. Those are Biology, Mathematics, Physics and
Chemistry pertaining 60 marks each. All these subjects will comprise of the 60
questions each.
Physics(60 marks): Questions on
Waves and Sound ,Physical optics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Modern
Physics, Dynamics, Statics, Hydrostatics and Hydrodynamics, Heat, Geometrical
optics.
Chemistry(60 marks):Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry, Chemical
Equilibrium, Reaction Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, Electro Chemistry, Solids, RadioActivity,
Metallugry, Coordination Compounds, Organic Chemistry, Polymers, CarboHydrates,
Oils and Fats, Proteins, Nucleic Acids, Chemotherapy, Kinetic Theory of Gasses,
Stochiometry, Atomic Structure, Form of
Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding, Specific matter, Organic Chemistry,
Environmental Pollution.
Mathematics(60 marks):Algebra, Analytical geometry, Trigonometry,
Calculus, Progressions, Theory of Indices and Logarithms, Mathematical
Induction, Theory of Equations, Permutations and Combinations, Binomial Theorm,
Partial Fractions, elements of number theory and congruences, coordinate
geometry,
Biology(60marks):Cell Biology and Genetics,Histology and Plant
Anatomy,Plant-Water Relations, BioEnergetics, Growth,Ecology,Health and Disease,
Histology, Digestion, Circulation, Respiration, Excretion, Nervous system,
continuity of life developmental biology, Human Reproduction, origin and
evolution of life origin of life, Organic Evolution, Animal Resourses and Human
Welfare,
