1st March
The first Dalit leader of BJP Bangaru Lakman was died on 1st March 2014. He was 74.

Saurabh Chandra took charge as Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and succeeds Vivek Rae. Saurabh Chandra was earlier working in Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion as Secretary.

Former Delhi chief Minister Sheila Diskshit (75) appointed as new governor of Kerala she is the 22nd governor of Kerala State. Diskshit was defeated by AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal in the 2014 assembly elections.
