AP EDCET Notification 2014: EDCET (Education Common Entrance Test) is the common entrance test for the Course of B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education). Edcet 2014 Notification date and exam date was announced by Andhra Pradesh state government. This test is conducted for the people who want to start their career as teachers. EDCET is conducted by Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam. EDCET is announced the exam date for admission into B.Ed. course. EDCET 2014 notification date is on March 5^th 2014.And the EDCET 2014 examination date is on June 2^nd 2014.

Eligibility Criteria to appear for AP Ed.CET:

Candidates should have passed three years of degree in the relevant subject or any other equivalent qualification eligible for admission into B.Ed. course.

Candidates should have secured minimum of 50 % marks either in Bachelor’s degree or in master’s degree.

Candidates who are belonging to all reserved categories should have secured minimum 40% marks.

Examination Policies:

1.       150 marks question paper will be conduct in objective type.

2.       Paper consists of three parts,

Ø  Part-A(General English for  25 marks)

Ø  Part-B(General Knowledge for 15 marks and Teaching Aptitude for 10 marks) 

Ø  Part-C(Methodology for 100 marks).It is based on the subjects you choose that means Mathematics/ Physical Science / Social Studies/English  

1.       PART-A :-( General English)

General English contains 25 questions. Each question carries 1 mark. Total General English part is for 25 marks.

             Syllabus of General English:

Ø  Reading Comprehension

Ø  Correction of Sentences

Ø  Basic Grammar

2.       PART-B :- ( GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND TEACHING APTITUDE)

Ø  Part-B contains 25 questions. Each question carries 1 mark. Total General English part is for 25 marks.

Ø  It contains questions on contemporary parts and questions on standard General Knowledge.

Ø  Teaching Aptitude contains questions on how to handle the students who are having different behaviors. Good teacher’s behavior.

Ø   And also contains questions on General intelligence and analytical thinking.

3.       PART-C :- (METHHODOLOGY-100 marks)

It contains questions on selected subject in degree level.

Ø  Mathematics (100 marks)

Ø  Physical Sciences (physics-50 marks and Chemistry-50 marks)

Ø  Biological Sciences (Botony-50 marks and zoology-50 marks)

Ø  Social Sciences (Geography-35 marks, History-30 marks, Economics-20 marks, civics-15 marks)

Ø  English(100 marks)
