Indian Air force
Recruitment Process: Indian Air force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. Indian
Air force responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to manage aerial
warfare during struggles. Indian Air force was established on 8th of October in 1932. In 1945 Indian
Air force was recognized as Royal Indian Air Force for the services in Second
World War. After India got independence from the United Kingdom in 1947 the
prefix Royal was dropped from the name of Indian Air Force.
The Motto of Indian Air force is” Touch the sky with Glory”. This
line was taken from the 14th chapter of kurukshetra in Gita. Indian
Air force is the 4th largest Air Force in the world with highly
technical and specialized fighting forces.
The
headquarters of the Indian Air Force is located at New Delhi. Indian Air Force
has seven Commands, under various stations and units located at varied
locations across the Country.

Eligibility Criteria for Ground Duty Branches
·
Age - 20 to 23
Years for Graduates and 20 to 25 years for Post Graduates (at the time of
commencement of course). Upper age limit relaxed up to 26 years for Law
Graduates (3 Years Course), up to 27 years for CA / ICWA / M Ed / Ph D.

- Candidates below the age of 25 years must be Unmarried.

Eligibility Criteria for Flaying Branches
You surely fly high by joining the Flying branch of the IAF. You
are trained as a Fighter pilot or a Helicopter pilot or a Transport pilot and
are part of various peace and wartime missions. The various modes of entry into
the Flying Branch are:
